In a recent handwritten letter home, Sara wrote a paragraph that made me smile. I anticipate the rest of you will remember running errands with mom in our youth. I remember specifically her organization and earnestness at not "BACKTRACKING". Usually, something along the lines of "I don't want to 'backtrack'."
Well, I adopted that mentality and evidently passed it on to my children somewhat although I never said "backtrack".

"Thanks to you, missionary work here is more economical. One day we were visiting lots of people and we went back and forth loads of times. I felt patient but also knew we could be spending less time in the car so I volunteered to map out our day when we were working around scheduled appointments. It was glorious! Sister Prescott caught the vision I had and now we are nerdy about it. Thanks, Mom! From the companions I've had, I've been the most like, well, you. :-) Not a bad thing! Sometimes I just chuckle when I realize how much I'm like you..."
